Absolutely amazing. I really appreciate how you portrayed Mal's "lovely" days - I could easily envision her and Dom having similar conversations as what you have written here (And in turn it makes her demise even more tragic).

Thanks so much!! I really appreciate you taking the time to read the story. I really felt bad for Mal during the movie. She is such a tragic, underdeveloped character, so it was a lot of fun writing about her.

You're very welcome and I fully agree! I always thought that Dom and Mal must've had the most beautiful relationship to have survived all the times and trials that came before the Inception. People underappreciate her because the majority of what we know of her in canon is her shade - not herself.

Yeah definitely. What interested me the most was when Arthur said to Ariadne something like, "I wish you had known her before." It makes me wonder what sort of relationship they had with one another. Oh, the unanswered questions...

Yes, he said "She was lovely" (That's why I quoted "lovely" in my first comment here, haha). He actually said it in a way that immediately made me question if he had a one-sided...thing for her.

Hah, completely missed that reference. >< I agree with you. There were so many loose ends in the movie in terms of "the past." Now I'm inspired to go hunting for Arthur/Mal fics.

But in a way it's perfect because fandom now gets to take control of the (Sure to be marvelous) backstories!
