Snow-shoeing
I was hoping to have pictures to accompany this, since I bought a new clip-on camera and took pictures, but there are some technical difficulties.
Yesterday I went snowshoeing for the first time with my mom and dad. First of all, it's HARD!!! I've been working out, but after almost 2 hours I was wiped out and I sent to sleep at like 6:30 that night. (The hour long hot tub soak followed by a delicious meal of buffalo fajitas probably didn't hurt either.)
The best part of the trip was going with my mom's friends and seeing that she has finally built herself a community here. It took her a long time, and for a while I thought that she was always going to miss Kansas and her friends there, and I know to some extent she will, but seeing her with her friends here I can see that she has finally made some dear friends here, and has formed for herself a supportive community. And that makes me happy.
