Incipient kleptomania

Recently I've experienced a couple of strong urges to steal something. Nothing big, nothing I am likely to get in trouble for--a tube of chapstick, a 50 cent books from the street outside the Strand--nothing I couldn't afford, not even anything I didn't have enough money in my pocket for. So why did I feel the urge to steal? I don't really know

My kleptomania phase centered around the 40 magic cards for a dollar box at the comic store. Somehow I never had a dollar. Still, getting done with that over cards that the store was basically just trying to get rid of anyway made it at least seem less damaging.
