Learning to Breathe
Switchfoot
(OST A Walk to Remember)
Hello, good morning, how ya do?
What makes your rising sun so new?
I could use a fresh beginning too
All of my regrets are nothing new
So this is the way
That I say that I need You
This is the way
This is the way
That I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and
You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies
Hello, good morning, how ya been?
Yesterday left my head kicked in
I never thought I could fall like that
Never knew that I could hurt this bad
I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and
You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies
So this is the way
That I say that I need You
This is the way
That I say I love You
This is the way
That I say I'm Yours
This is the way
This is the way
I don't know why, but whenver I hear this song in my iPod I feel like I have to write something about it. It's both a happy and sad song. A story of moving on. This is not because of the movie, I wasn't able to watch it and I'm not watching it even if the office is showing it right now (we're a cable tv account so movies being shown on the production floor is normal unless we get a visitor). There are also occasional shouts from the male populace on the floor to stop crying. One teammate of mine wailed (jokingly): "Why did he have to die?!"
"She." I said cuttingly without looking at him.
As I go over the lyrics I feel like it doesn't have to be about a loved one who died. It can also be someone who has moved on from heartbreak, a new beginning and putting regrets behind us.
Or a realization that one has loved deeply and painfully.
Which is why this is perfect for either Niou or Tezuka...wait hold on...maybe both of them? HAHAHAHAHA!
Bad idea. Scratch that. I don't know I can just see Niou looking contemplative along a moving train.
