So, today. Was, forst of all, beautiful_rain_'s birthday, and I didn't have a huge

Happy Birthday beautiful_rain_

in my journal. This is because I have really been very busy, all day long. Busy in a happy way. We went out to lunch with her mom, and it involved jasmine and lychee flavored gelato, which was very good, and also watching the football games - Tech vs. West Virginia and us vs. Maryland, which was sort of fun too. Except apparently we lost. Which is less fun.

Then of_polyhymnia and I started setting up for beautiful_rain_'s birthday present, which involved a balloon treasure hunt with decoy clues like "cranberries" and "Robert Frost." And then it involved listening to Wicked and singing along very loudly and hitting ballons at each other.

And then there was the concert. I know the concert was good, because of_polyhymnia tells me so. I...don't actually remember it. Well, I remember the first half, and I know that was good, except for the very end of the Ewazen. But during the Mahler, I was playing but I don't think I was actually in my head...I remember little bits and pieces from when I wasn't totally zoned out, but mostly I was just concentrating very, very intently on what I was doing, and very little on what everyone else was doing. Now, this sort of zoning out is something I do fairly often when I play, but not usually during concerts. It's interesting, anyway. But it was a good evening.

orchestra, concert, fun
