I derive an absurd amount of pleasure from downloading incidental Buffy score music. I'm getting closer to having every single thing that's available!
One paper down, two to go. The Buffy one is my next big challenge, and I'm kind of worried about it. I'm in rather far over my head, but my professor said, with what sounded frighteningly like complete confidence, "Oh, you'll make it work." So now I actually have to. Darn it, being a good student creates a lot of pressure.
The SWAG paper, the one that I finished, kicks ass, though. It's possibly the most pompous thing I've ever written, but I was experimenting with a new style, as I frequently do when writing papers, and I think it turned out fairly successfully. Plus it's about orchestra and the ridiculousness that was the Youth Concert, so that was fun. I got to listen to the CD of Creepy Weatherman rudely interrupting Bonny Kate over and over again. Hee.
I have now officially completed the ENGL series, the required classes for my major. Well, I guess I still have to take the exam, but still. The professors in fact did related something to Ireland at least once every lecture, so we are due to have an Irish party later. Possibly when there is someone around who can legally buy alcohol and isn't as much of a spaz about fake IDs as I am.
Only one more day of classes left!
Oh, and last night we have a brillinat time making a gingerbread house that mostly resulted in me eating a lot of icing and getting very sugar high. Pics are
available in
beautiful_rain_'s LJ. Hee! They're brilliant, particularly my tragically deceased snowman and the fatal skateboarding accident in the backyard. It's important to avaoid skate parks in the snow, for you own safety and the safety of others.
