Pulling my hair out in Tennessee

Seriously, my pharmacology exam tomorrow morning is driving me to drink. It is very complex, and my professor decided to be out of town all week, so basically unavailable to offer help or answer questions. It peeves me because I don't want to be a fricking pharmacist. I want to be a veterinarian who looks up drugs in nifty books like Plumb's. So why must I be able to formulate all this crap without benefit of formulas? Why must I commit it all to memory? I will never, ever, in the real world, have to work like this. My head hurts and I am trying to relax with a glass of wine.

In other news, I cannot believe the crap that Paulson is trying to push through as a "bail out" for the mortgage crisis. Seriously, NO oversight? No ability to have any part of it reviewed by the judiciary? NO help for the actual mortgagees, NO transparency for mortgage companies, NO regulation on compensation. Basically, it's just rush it through NOW before anyone has a chance to really absorb what it means. It's just like how we got embroiled in this 5-year nightmare in Iraq. Hell, what's another 17 billion dollars?

In other words, total bullshit. AND, does NOBODY remember who the members of the Keating Five were? Seriously?

Whew. I actually feel a bit better now. :) I hope you all have a great Monday. It could be worse--you could be taking a pharmacology exam you are woefully unprepared to take!
