So, earlier this week, I was the Worst Fan Ever. Steve Carlson has been playing at a dive bar for a month and a half, and every Wednesday, I found some excuse not to go. This past Wed. was the last time, and I was determined to be there. Until I fell asleep and woke up too late. Worst Fan Ever ( Read more... )

Hello,

I came here by recommendation from Moonie. I have been reading a couple of reports and I gotta say, there's nothing wrong with being a good fangirl. But sometimes, one just doesn't know what to say so it's easier to be quiet, or in my case, I'm just shy in front of people I don't know.

I am relatively new to this fandom and being very far away from it (ie I live in Australia) I don't know of the going ons. So it fascinates me to read all this. At this point in time I have only been involved in one other fandom, the Stargate one and been to 2 cons. I was a "good" fangirl who did not bug my favourite actor either, although I did politely ask for a hug in front of his girlfriend. I also got a hug because it was my birthday and he was sweet.

But it's good to treat the actors with respect and have fun and just listen to them talk. I'm sure they were overwhelmened by this all!

Thanks for sharing your experience - I wouldn't know what spoilers to ask - I read a few but it all means nothing to me as I haven't really contemplated the show much yet. Both the boys sound pretty cool and awesome!

:D

Both the guys were very sweet and funny. I think because I work at the Screen Actors Guild and see actors all the time that I know it really is just a job. And I figured once Jensen was outside he was "off the clock" so to speak, so I didn't want to bother him. I do wish I said "Good show" or something, but ah well.

So glad you got a hug from your favorite actor. I don't think they realize how much any little recognition means to fans sometimes. It happens to them all the time, but for the fans, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. ;D
