A momentary Flicker...

This morning and for several previous mornings, I have been awakened by a strange sound that is somewhat reminiscent of a pile-driver. It turns out that the culprit was a Red-shafted Northern Flicker (a type of woodpecker for those who are curious). I managed to catch a momentary flicker of the, well, Flicker by sneaking outside and catching it,
