(no subject)
Last night after Life Group, Bethany, Keith, Bryan and I were going to see Avatar. It would have been our second time seeing it and Bethany and Keith's first time. Instead we decided we were hungry and went to Winco to buy stuff to make pizzas.
Let me tell you, those were some GOOD pizzas!! One had traditional red sauce, pepperonis, and mozzerella, with the extra yumminess of hot banana peppers, mushrooms, and cilantro. Delish! The other pizza, the one that I was in charge of, had a spicy peanut sauce and carrots, green onions, cilantro, bean sprouts and mozzerella. It was bomb, of course, since I LOVE a good Thai pizza.
We stayed up playing Euchere till after midnight. It was a really really good time. Keith and Bethany have been our friends for a little over six months now, but it feels like we've known them longer. We told them we were moving last night, and they were bummed, but we had told them it would be a possibility back in November, so it wasn't a shock. They DID mention the possibility of coming out to visit us in Jackson this summer. They've never been to Wyoming! They didn't even realize that Yellowstone was IN Wyoming! They've never seen geysers or hot springs or mud pots. So I'm hoping they visit.
They are going to Africa in March to work with AIDS patients (they're both nurses) and they asked us to watch their house and their dog(s) (they may be getting a puppy this weekend). When we told them we'd be moving at the end of March, they said that we should just move in with them for the month of March! They'll be in Africa from March 4-16th anyways, and we'll probably be moving to Jackson around the 26th. So we'd be crashing at their place by ourselves for most of the month, and rooming with them for 10 days. They have room for our stuff in their shed, and it would save us about $500-600 bucks in rent for a partial month. AND we'd be able to play with their dogs and go on runs with them! I think it will work out well.
So that's life right now. Work until March 19th, live with the Muhlenkamps until the 26th, move to Jackson in April and see if there is work. If there's not a lot of work, we'd go back to Poky for at least a week or so to see family. Nicole and Stuarts little girl would be about 1 month old by then! Then back to Jackson from middle/end of April to September. Then, move into Bryan's folks basement for a month until we find a place of our own and/or a job.
Oh, and for the summer? We'll either be living in a place like this:
Which would be small and a bit cramped, but doable, or living in a place like this:
which is a nicer, newer two bedroom, with Cody and Kendra. Problem is, we're not sure if Kendra is even coming to Jackson this summer. She had trouble finding a job last year in Pocatello, and so she wants to keep the one she has now over the summer so she can work for sure next semester. If she stayed in Poky, Cody would just sleep in a (say it with me now, I'm serious) VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER. And he'd only be working 4 days a week so he'd go to Poky for the other 3 days.
If Kendra DID come to Jackson, we'd split a two bedroom. It would be interesting living with another couple, but we'd save money living in the two bedroom rather than living in the studio. AND the two bedroom has a dishwasher, which is nice.
So we'll see. Life is still crazy up in the air.
