So Dani and I have been staying at her dad's house for almost a week now, watching the dog while his family chills in Myrtle Beach. Yes, I am jealous, but solely for the fact that I FUCKING MISS THE SUNSHINE AND BEACH.
I have to say that the only thing keeping me from clawing my eyes out has been the digital cable and big bathtub. 8[ We're sleeping on a bed that is marginally more comfortable than the floor, the water tastes like ass, and the dog starts making a fuss starting around 7 and doesn't stop until we wake up. Also, the air inside the house is incredibly dry, and the only skin lotion here somehow dries my skin out MORE than it was before I used it. ;__;
But, we have Digital Cable. And this is awesome. We've managed to catch a lot of cool stuff, and a buttload of movies that have been on our list of things to watch:
-Goblet of Fire (Which we didn't watch the end of. Much too sad.)
-Team America (Which we had to turn off after awhile because we were just too tired.)
-2001 Maniacs (...biggest WTF movie I have ever seen. It was part Porn, part southern horror, and part ACID TRIP. It was either unintentionally hilarious or a really good parody XD)
-Amelie (Finally caught the end of that. ;_; AWESOME MOVIE.)
-Breakfast on Pluto (OMG. OMG. OMG. Such a good movie.)
-Rent (I really liked it, which was unfortunate, because it is fucking sad. 8[ Gotta love when you get attached to characters who DIE, amirite? Also, least funny thing about AIDS I have ever seen 8[[[)
-Wild Tigers Which I Have Seen (......Independent film about Sexual Exploration. That is all you need to know.)
-The Dust Factory (Very cute. 8] I like cute movies. Especially ones with sweet little boys and awesome girls. I liked the theme, too.)
-Loch Ness (Another cute movie. XD Kind of silly, but heartwarming nonetheless.)
-Idlewild (I wanted to see this since I saw the preview. 8[ I was a little disappointed, but I know it was only because I was expecting a lot out of it. Pretty cool movie, though! It was like an all-black hip-hop Moulin Rouge with Gangsters and a bittersweet ending.)
-SLC Punk! (I wanted Dani to see this for a good long while. Srsly good movie.)
Also, despite the fact that I've been avoiding Logo (because it is the Lesbians Coming Out of the Closet and Getting Married channel. And I hate lesbians ;_; ) I've discovered the most Awesome Show Ever. Noah's Arc. It's about this adorable fgty little black manthing and his group of friends and boyfriend. 8[ It's seriously wonderful. All of the characters are pretty cool and hilarious and the writing is good and it's NOT WANKY OR WHINEY AT ALL. I LOVE IT.
So yes. While it's been vaguely hellish here, I've been coping pretty well. 8]
