[AND ON THAT FATEFUL DAY--

Sky's waiting at the elevator on the day that was picked out, hair tied up as usual. he didn't bring any weapons, but he figures he can swing a tree around they can run if they bump into anything. hopefully.

...he still doesn't know why he agreed to help. but it's.. better than spending his time doing nothing. probably.]

[Ember hasn't had as much time to get supplies together and weapons don't really occur to him. It helps that most people find him kind of freaky-looking and aren't sure what to make of the doll-jointed man with a demon tail and a halo. Of course, he's wearing clothes that cover most of the strange markings, although he's ripped holes for his shoulder-spikes and his tail to fit through.

He's not sure who he's looking for--he should have asked the other what he looked like... But the man by the elevator catches his eye and holds it. A strong sense the Ember should know... but there's nothing to know. But just like Gray, Ember feels that coil of anger and hatred shift in his stomach. Something he should be angry about... but there's still nothing, just the gaping hole where his memories should be.]

[he knows someone's approaching before he sees them. odd, but maybe this is.. normal? maybe.

when he does look up, the doll-like joints, the tail, and halo-- everything screams danger, and he subconsciously moves his hand to his hip, only to find nothing there. what was supposed to be there? a means to call for help? a weapon? what it was, it's not there now.

so he just shifts a bit, keeping an eye on the other man, slightly wary-- but since when has Sky not been wary of anyone here?]

[It takes a long moment for Ember to realize that Sky is waiting by the elevator.

Wait. He's the one who offered to help? For some reason that twists up his emotions, feeling relieved, happy, but also so very furious.

And he's not sure why.

Ember walks over to him though, fighting to keep his expression light and happy as usual.] Hi! I'm Ember, are you here to help find my brother, Honor?

[ACTION]

[Sky has no trouble remaining calm, even though he's very much confused on the inside. confusion and anger, rage, something else--]

Sky. [slight nod. his usual greeting.] ..I guess I am.

[Ember nods back] Wanna head down? I dunno if the Wilderness is still the animal-changing place, but it might be. [wearing a mask of emotions seems to be something he's used to--hiding behind a happy mask.]
