I'm saving, but before I go broke w/rent...

I'd like to get my tattoo fixed/augmented/changed. Anyone know a good tat shop in DC/NoVA? Iknow lots of inkers HATE to do cover-ups, so I figgered I'd get a reflected version of what I already have above and around it. (I have a tribal-encircled star, but the arsehole did it upside down w/o showing me the design first, so I have a descending star on my back- which is kind of like an upside down cross to me.. as it's a personal symbol I've held dear for as long as I can remember as being "my" symbol. It represents eternal light, life, hope, renewal and Inner Light.. Divine Guidance.)

I'm thinking of getting a version of my original tat's mirror image done over it, larger, and with something encompassing them both, so it represents good overcoming ill, positivity over negativity.. triumphing over the darkness and ills that bring you, and try to hold you down... ... I've been thinking perhaps making it look as though the newer, larger star is ascending from the surface of water, while the smaller, upside-down one is its reflection on or under the water, distorting some as its successor rises. I'm open to other ideas though, too. Perhaps a larger reflection of the 1st star being encompassed along w/it inside a tribal and Celtic amalgamation? Hmm.. some kind of star or circular design, perhaps? A large, reflective pearl or water droplet to be held up by some sort of mermaid or water nymph? Regardless, methinks I'd really like having cascading water droplets going down my back......

Whatcha think??

--Ooh, it should be known though, I'm really picky about my artists and parlours. They gotta be reputable, good, clean places w/noted art ists/arttsts I have a good vibe with, and who knowtheir shit but aren't so pretentious they won't give a damn about their customers or how much their charging.. ya know? I miss Ancient Art in B-burg, the lady who was doing tats @ Starwood, and this one chick I found online who did all these marvelously lined, swirly and tribal designs... After all, their art and their style is going to be on my body forever. I don'twant to even THINK about covering something ELSE up. I don't regret this last one because it was done w/my family and to commemorate my grandfather's passing, but this time, I want my experience to be nothin' but good. :) (That way hopefully I get to go back again someday, to have another! ;D:D)

That being said; suggestions, anyone??
