my nightmare came true.
a few weeks ago, i tripped over the cord of my laptop in my office. it fell
off the desk, and ever since, it's closed funny. i've worried that, while
this is only an aesthetic problem, eventually it would affect the
functioning of the screen. i planned to bring it to the mac repair place as
soon as i got home.
as of five minutes ago, the screen is now messed up. i have a feeling the
cost of repair won't even be worth it. i thought it would be cool to get a
shiny new laptop for school, but this is not how i wanted it to happen. i
cannot afford this.

in other news, my ipod stopped functioning several days ago. while i'm glad
my electronic appliances lasted me through the middle east, i'm pretty upset
about all of this.
