Wow, thank you so much!

Looking at the fanfic that I actually just started, and posted the first part to a few hours ago... I kind of failed at a bunch of those things.

I guess the good thing is that I just started, and I'm definitely aware that I have A LOT of work to do to make the story work...

A beta reader is something I need... but I'm too nervous to ask someone, actually. Which you know, isn't good.

Once again.. whoo, thanks! This will help... a lot! :)

You are very, very welcome.

Fanfiction posting is scary, but it's also trial and error. The more you post, the better you'll get and the easier it will be.

I think we have the beta reader links up on the side. Most people are thrilled to be able to get an advance peek at a story. If you have anyone on your f-list who likes Grey's then they may be willing to help you out. :)

I'll have to go search for your fic! I'm excited. :)

Woot!

Thanks for reading this. :)

Chelle. I say this with the most srs!face ever.

I.
Love.
You.

Seriously.

I'm totally printing this b/c it's GOLD and TOTALLY helpful! :O you win at life :)

p.s. you're a mod, *shrug* when I post fics, in order to get a single hard return between lines I have to do TWO in the actual HTML box before I post... is that a Comm thing? or... am I special?

The livejournal HTML editor needs a LOT of work. If you are posting your fic directly from your word processor into the editor ... it will confuse itself.

My advice to you is that you post your fic directly from your word processor into Notepad and then copy and paste it from Notepad into the livejournal editor and click post. Notepad removes the existing HTML, but preserves your format. YOU won't have to hand code anything that way or hit enter twice to get a new paragraph.

Orrrr, you should follow that link to Semagic and it can basically do it for you, but the same rules apply. Take your story from your word processor, paste it into Notepad, then paste it into Semagic.

You won't have to do any hard coding at all.

:)

And I seriously love you, too. :)

I don't understand how people can misspell the character's names. Repeatedly. That's why a beta reader comes in handy.

I love my Little Brown Handbook. I've gone through two of them. The first one fell apart. :)
