"Time Off" = "Goodbye"? When did Sara say she is leaving Grey's Anatomy permanently?
People are going crazy that Sara is leaving Grey's....but she NEVER said that.
Correct my if I'm wrong!
She said "....but for now I'm taking some welcoming time off" & Shonda on the other hand hinted the same "We wish her the best on her well-deserved time off"
She is probably & possibly just taking some TIME OFF....& that's it. Why go ahead of time & pressume things!!!! She may be expecting & needs a good long maternity leave! It's quiet realistic, she is 40 and if she wants to have baby, it's time & instead of waiting for Grey's Anatomy to end (which is no way near) it's best to do it now & take some rest & then come back!!! There is tiny chance that there might be some other agenda to complete as well! Who knows!
But no other cast member ever mentioned Sara is leaving the show till now (not that I know of), there is no hint even after her announcement. I don't think her "Grey's family" would have been that insensitive or ignorant towards Sara if it was an actual GOODBYE.
Talking about Callie's character, does it feel like an end to a character of 11 years??? There was no goodbye to other characters like Christina's or Derek's there is no accident, there is no suddent death, it's just don't seem end at all.
Well people can argue that Shonda can end anyone, anytime and anyway she wants but....does it feel like an end of Calliope Torres!!! Well certainly not in my eyes.
When any central character left the show for good...they dedicate atleast one or two episode for them. When Sandra left there were all promos and hype of her epic goodbye & the last 2 episode were Cristina centric. Same for Patrick. But Sara? Just nothing? That's not very realstic to me honestly. When there is no news, it's good news :)
The last season was mostly downfall for Callie's character & specially to Calzona SL but after almost 2 season of tough time Arizona came back strong as a character but Callie didn't, not yet.
Over the years we have seen these two characters grow, individually & as a couple, no matter what they always came back to each other....it took time most of the times...but they always did....Arizona came back from Africa (Well Jessica was on maternity leave that time ;).....then Callie came back to Arizona after the cheating (even if for a short time)...& there's more. So it was mostly even.
Now what wasn't yet balanced in their SL.....Callie set Arizona free, she let her go for her happiness...but Arizona never did...I think it was time for her to set Callie free, to let her go and be happy & that's what she did this time.

Now it's time for us to wait....for Callie to realize her love & to come back to Arizona. Remember in an interview Sara said when it ends "End" the characters will get their happy ending....& I believe Arizona is Callie's happy ending.
Call me naive, hopeless, way too unrealistic but I always believe in Calzona, because I believe their love is special, unique & most importantly true. So till Sara/Shonda/anyone else finally shatter my still hopeful heart by declaring anything permanent, I will still hope for Calzona...they are made for each other & they will reunite season 13/ season 14/.....
For those who don't agree with me, I totally understand, but I'm just expressing my point of view & you can express yours if you want.
