To me, this is exciting. I believe, true or not, that Arizona seeing this kiss makes it much less likely that Callie is going to end up sleeping with anyone else. If Derek really cheated on Meredith? I can't imagine her not sleeping with half a dozen guys in response.
To me, this is the angst that I've been waiting for. What the audience knows that Arizona doesn't is that for all of Callie vaunted talk about sex, she likely hasn't had any yet. This is a first date with a surprise kiss. Where does it go next? We will most definitely see. And I am excited.
My expectation is that Callie will want to clear the air. I assume Arizona won't want to. Who wants to be further humiliated after all? But if push comes to shove I think Arizona will tell Callie her truth. She is still in love with her. And they aren't friends who can talk about these things. Whatever Arizona says I think it might finally get through to Callie that Arizona really loves her. We have seen, fairly or not, that Callie doesn't really believe this.
So then what does Callie do with this information? If she finally believes that Arizona loves her, what does that mean? I can't wait to find out.
Now that I've processed my initial shock I am also following your train of thought here with what you just explained in regards to Callie & Arizona. I do find myself excited for what's to come between them after that scene because there has to be a talk or something...? Ahhh drama and thrills!!
