No, on the Tagalog. At one point, I spoke Illocano but that has long left my brain right along with playing the piano.
On the Lumpia -- both the small pork ones and the larger vegetable ones. I swear my mom makes the best (using ones made by all my aunts and uncles as comparison). I would easily fight any of my cousins in a dual to defend that title! :)

Honestly don't know when I'll ever be back at the mother ship. Not on my list of top 10 places to visit. So much of my family is her in NY, NJ, CA and Toronto.
But totally bank on the fangirl day out should it ever happen!
Born in Manila but emigrated from the Philippines when I was six months old. So count me as half-Asian -- LOL!
Although above all else (geography and culture-wise) I consider myself all "New Yorker," my mom's lumpias are still my favorite food! ;)
Asian count: 3.5 !!!!
