I loved the dynamic as Arizona as a son-in-law. It makes perfect sense in my head and you made it work out even better on paper (as you are wont to do).
“Are those waffles?” Asa marvels, immediately crawling into Arizona’s lap. “In the bed?”
Oh Asa, he makes me giggle with his cuteness. I'm loving the little kid Spanglish plus the love for Aunt Addy. Obviously this little man has some amazing taste.
Overall, sap-tastic. Couldn't have been cuter! Thanks again for all the lovely fluffy goodness.

Hehe. Drunk!Teddy. I told you Drunk!Teddy would make a little appearance.
I think Carlos needs to cling a little to gender paradigms. Like, he has his daughters, and he has his son-in-laws, Blake and Arizona, lol.
Haha. This little man does have amazing taste. And he's utterly fascinated by the concept of eating in bed. WTF?! Hehe.
Thanks for commenting! You're the best! (Hope work was bearable.)

I love me some drunk Teddy. She speaks the truth and with the best amount of attitude.
You managed to make Carlos' heternormativity endearing. And the fact that he wants her to drink and smoke cigars with him? I can imagine the two of them standing outside on some momentous occasion, cigars and glasses in hand.
Asa's reaction is so adorable, as if he didn't realize that it was even possible for bed and food to meet like that.
Thanks. I'm managing to survive the asshats by hiding out in my own section of the store, listening to Grey's songs and Elton John.

And I'm glad it came across that Carlos's heteronormativity is very innocent. It's not mean-spirited at all. He just feels "very old" and this is how he deals with all of it.
And no, Asa had ABSOLUTELY no idea that there could be food in a bed.
