This is not a good idea for Grey's unless they have everyone at Joe's bar doing karaoke or something, it just doesn't work for Grey's lol

Seriously??
Uh I don't think Grey's and musicals should mix. Ever.
This makes no sense whatsoever in the Grey's universe. Hope this it's not actually what Ausiello makes it out to be.

whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? That sounds kinda corny. I would love to have Sara singing, but on Broadway and other appropriate places, not as Callie on a grey's musical. :( but still. whatevs. come what may. i can take it. maybe ausielo is twisting words and it means 'kareoke' or something else less obvious.

Alyson Hannigan did no singing at all during Buffy's Once More, With Feeling (at most she sang one line). Renee O'Connor did no singing at all during The Bitter Suite (they used someone else's voice). JCap is a better singer than both of them combined. Somehow I think she'll have no problem surviving a musical episode. There are other ways to work a significant storyline into a musical episode than making the actor sing all the time - the producers can find a way to distribute the load.

The issue is really the fact that Shonda Rhimes' strengths as a storyteller do not lend themselves to a successful musical episode. It won't work for Grey's.
