I was reading the boards over at TWoP and someone said 706 has been uploaded to ABC MediaNet for review. We may get answers to our questions very soon then... Or at least some spoilers that are a bit more specific than "bombshell" and "cooling off". :)

Shouldn't we have heard some sort of spoiler about this by now?

The only thing I've found so far is a review by Us Weekly, but it's not very spoilery and it does not mention C/A at all. It's not exactly a glowing review. http://www.usmagazine.com/moviestvmusic/news/review--greys-anatomy-102810-20101810

Others have mentioned that the only couple interaction in this ep is C/A which makes the comment about overwrought romances a bit troubling.

And a sweet patient dies out of the blue in a plot twist?!?! "Torment" and "gimmicks"?!?!

Yikes!

I call truth to your first point. Language like "bombshell" sounds overwrought, though. Scares me. But the spoiler gurus this season have been overhyping seemingly more than seasons past.

As to your last point, that's exactly why we've been very lucky with C/A so far. Their relationship has been mature and their conflicts organic. One of the reasons we fight so hard against future plot contrivances, ey?

That overwrought romance comment worried me too. One thing I'm not quite clear on is if this episode will be showed completely through the lense of the documentary or if it's just parts of it. Because if it's full on docu for the whole episode and the "bombshell" thing happens in that context (on camera), I understand the critique. I don't want an important C/A moment to play out in a documentary because that could make them look bad, sharing their personal business like that.

The sweet patient that dies? I'm placing my bets on Mary (Mandy Moore).

Excellent point regarding the documentary style nature of this episode. I hope there are private moments away from the documentary cameras.

Oh, I forgot about Mary. Yep, no way I bet against you on that one.

I hope there are private moments too. From something I read a few weeks back, it seemed like the whole ep would be in the documentary style. But some of the promo pics look like they're not in front of a camera, like C/A kissing outside the hospital, Callie and the guys at Joe's etc. I really hope the documentary crew won't be around for that stuff... It irks me for some reason. :/

The thought of Mary dying makes me sad. Shonda likes the audience to bond with the patient before killing them off, so it's a pretty safe bet I think.

Come on Mandy was a decent patient, really liked her -didn't think that Mandy Moor could be that decent. ..

Crap, i was hoping for some pretty decent spoilers since the episode has been uploaded to MediaNet . Btw can anyone buy a membership to that website and watch new episodes online?
