but according to posts on the Maki Horikita d-addicts thread, Maki has a new drama lined up for the fall television season...and it's a getsu romance, with murdered parents, disdainful neighbors and a hard luck Cinderella twist. And it's from the writer of Last Friends, and Please, God Give Me More Time.

O.M.G.

I don't know what to feel. MAKI. NEW JDRAMA. ROMANCE. MURDER. GETSU. (SIX DEGREES FROM TAKESHI KANESHIRO.) hopefully this story will lean toward more Please, God, instead of Last Friends, because man - that was such a clusterf....of emotions.

and oh, the cover for the deluxe edition of Tokyo Boy got leaked as well. (Scroll down to the bottom)

and being released on cynicalism and I's birthday! So awesome.

the synopsis from yesasia:

Popular actress Horikita Maki (Always - Sunset on Third Street) takes on her most challenging role yet as a troubled girl with a split personality in Tokyo Boy. Horikita's latest role in some ways recalls her gender-bending character in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e and withdrawn, insecure schoolgirl in Nobuta wo Produce, but she has clearly grown as an actress in comparison to her television performances, convincingly embodying two very different characters who are in fact one. Compelling as a psychological and human drama, Tokyo Boy treads into the dark and the affirming corners of the mind and heart to tell a story that is both unsettling and affecting. Though Horikita Maki's layered performance is no doubt the major attraction of the film, Tokyo Boy also gets extra leverage from rising actor Ishida Takuya (Night Time Picnic) and television director Hirano Shunichi (Summer Snow, Kurosagi), here making his feature film debut.
Raised by her senile grandmother (Kusamura Reiko), troubled young woman Minato (Horikita Maki) lives a dark and lonely life. Her only friend and consolation is pen pal Night to whom she confides her thoughts and experiences in long, detailed letters. A glimmer of light enters Minato's life when she meets the nerdy, but earnest Sho (Ishida Takuya), a frequent customer of the convenience store she works at. The two begin a sweet and happy relationship that sours unexpectedly when Sho suddenly starts acting cold and distant. Minato begins to suspect that Night is threatening Sho out of jealousy and tries to find Night, not realizing that the person she needs to confront is herself.

AND TOKYOGRAPH IS UP:

Popular actress Maki Horikita has picked up her next lead drama role. She will star in the tentatively-titled "Innocent Love," scheduled to air in Fuji TV's flagship Monday night time slot this fall. As the title suggests, the show will be a romance story.

The script is an original work written by Taeko Asano, whose most recent hit was "Last Friends" this past spring. Like that show, "Innocent Love" will focus on the lives of modern youths. The shows also share a director (Yusuke Kato) and a producer (Toshiyuki Nakano).

The story centers around the tragic heroine Kanon Akiyama (Horikita). As a child, she lost both her parents to a murderer, and her older brother was arrested as the prime suspect. Shunned by her town as the sister of a killer, she heads to Tokyo and picks up a job as a housecleaner. There, she has a fateful encounter with a man, but the road to romance is fraught with difficulty.

This will be Horikita's first time starring in Fuji TV's key time slot. Last year, her popularity skyrocketed due to a starring role in "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e." Currently, she appears in the NHK taiga drama "Atsuhime." That series doesn't finish filming until the end of September, so she will briefly be shooting simultaneously for "Atsuhime" and "Innocent Love."

"Innocent Love" will premiere in October.

sorry, kitsune714, but a raincheck for the victory dance next time?

Meanwhile, I am going to AWESOME-LAND.

I couldn't get the damn code to paste right - but I am apparently:

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test ...
NFPC - The Artist

Nature, Foreground, Big Picture, and Color

NFPC - The Artist

You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow.

Compared to other takers
