the distance is quite simply much too far for me to row

I saw Death Cab for Cutie/Rogue Wave last night with my friend Shar, and didn't get to bed until 1 a.m. I am now appropriately zombified - which just reminds me how old I've gotten - back in the day, I used to be able to stay up until 3 a.m., fall asleep for two hours, then get up again and attend a college lecture without any ill effects ( Read more... )

Shota Matsuda is up to, besides not being the other half of Erika Toda's OTP in the lukewarm Code Blue

But he SHOULD be the other half of her OTP! I'm tempted to watch Code Blue just because I like her, but I keep waffling over it. If he were in it, I would watch. And then throw things if they didn't get to be OTP.

However, he looks good with Maki in those pictures, so I approve of the prettiness in general.

I think there's no romance subplot as of yet calledinvain June 25 2008, 02:58:29 UTC
but that could just be my wishful thinking. Yamapi + romance = BIG HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT all around, and I like my summer tv to make me happy, you know? Like HANA KIMI Happy. Damn, where the hell is the release date, Fuji TV! STOP KEEPING ME IN SUSPENSE.

I'm not watching it, but I think D is, if only to mock it because it's her life's work.

I've been rewatching it as a ploy to keep me distracted from Doctor Who, and seriously, where is the SP? Was it supposed to be out this summer or did I imagine that? I want more with Sano and Mizuki and Nakatsu and to see JULIA. But Code Blue looks like it might be fun to giggle at, and I figure as long as I can stop myself from trying to mentally insist that Yamapi is Kurosagi and Erika is Nao, I might enjoy it. (I'm still not used to the ... casting in Jdramas. I tend to think of actors as playing certain characters, and when they change so often I just feel slightly bewildered.)

Mocking it definitely sounds like a valid reason to watch it! (THE valid reason to watch it? Possibly!) Out of all the upcoming jdramas it's the only one that's caught my attention for whatever reason, so it's tempting me.

The SP is supposed to be out this summer, but who knows if it's July or September (the start of summer drama season). I'm totally all over the Suzuka Ohgo/Teppei drama on Fuji.

OH. So my coworker is going to Comic-con this year, and she accosted me at work yesterday morning to inform me that, ZOMG, the cast of Twilight and Stephanie Meyer are going to be appearing at this year's convention.

I thought of you.

And giggled.

(my coworker by the way, is an amazonian 33 year old redhead and loves Edward for some weird reason.)

isn't it amazing how much I know about these books without ever reading them? I blame you.

... Okay, that's probably my issue. When I think summer, I think 'July'. I don't think September, because that's pretty much fall in my mind, despite the disgusting temperatures. Shibatora looks ... I've only seen the dramawiki summary of it, but from that, it doesn't look like my thing.

And I am SAD they are going to be there. Because I have never gone to Comic-con and it's tragic, and imagine how crazy it'll be?!

Um, that's because these books are INSANE. I have a healthy love for cracky things, and you cannot improve upon glittery vampires and a fandom that you either want to giggle at or cry over. It's not possible. How can I not go on about them? (but hey, it's okay. You get to wince over bad books but not read them when I talk about them, and then I go out and find books like, oh, Howl's Moving Castle because you mention them on your LJ and they look good. Everyone wins, or at least I do!)
