I hate you technology, don't you look at me.

A comedy of errors is only funny when it's not happening to you. And I wouldn't even consider my situation to be a comedy of errors so much as it is THE WORLD IS OUT TO PISS ME OFF, and congratulations, you've SUCCEEDED.

The temperatures in southern California as of late have been soaring - we're getting unseasonably hot days, and one of the downfalls of this 99-100 degree weather is that my wireless router tends to throw a 'hellllppp meeee, I'm melting' hissy fit. I already replaced one router for overheating issues - the new one is supposed to be better about keeping cool - but yesterday night, it conked out and when I unplugged it, it magically reset itself. At least that's what my computer tech goddess friend told me over the phone - after hearing me shrieking and cursing about it for a good twenty minutes. So we set it up again, but now my laptop, Marvin is not acknowledging any wireless networks in range. If it's not one thing it's another. Luckily, I managed to get the internet working on my desktop, but Marvin is portable. Anyway, that's just one headache. My washing machine is still broken, and I cannot go back to washing my clothes by hand, (I didn't start washing my clothes by machine until 4-5 years ago.) I ended up driving to a friends' house to first use her computer so I could check my email/enter payroll, and then using her washer/dryer. We watched Hot Fuzz together, so it wasn't all bad.

And my car is making this distressing gurning/creaky noise whenever I brake, so I'm going to have it looked at tomorrow.

And it's still hot.
