what the hell, Japan?

If you heard a spoiler about a rain scene in an anticipated movie, and as a mind conditioned to expect certain things from Rain Scenes, these are your options:

a) Passionate confession of love - with kissing, and or crying involved
b) Someone coming back from the dead/long lost but now found
c) A coldly calculated show-down, with guns
d) dramatic flash back scene combining one or all of the above
e) Utter total rejection and silent tears washed away by the cruel unforgiving rain
f) swords and VENGEANCE SHALL BE MINE.

Warning, this is a link to a spoiler picture from the upcoming movie of Kurosagi. Thanks to babyitskim on the forums, and to the original poster at baidu.

As Nakatsu would say, GODDAMN. Seriously, Kurosagi? I know it's all about revenge and finding justice for your family (BTW! Kurosagi's dad? Is the same actor who played Sano's dad in Hana Kimi) and it's the main plot, but writers! Are we forgetting a fundamental chemistry issue between Kurosaki and Tsurara, as in, they have TONS OF IT and Maki Horikita spent the summer becoming progressively hotter until she just achieved supernova hotness and this is just a crazy, uniformed American hunch, but....hotness sells tickets. Their hotness together, for one. Kurosaki's not so subtle eyefucking at every turn and Tsurara's longing glances in return and COME ON. IT'S EASY MATH.

She can fight crime with him! She doesn't just have to linger about as beautiful wallpaper in the background in her pretty skirts and cute coordinating jackets - I'm sure Maki is just itching for the chance to pick up a sword and go a little crazy herself. Or you know, use the power of her mind and solve cases with paper and pen, but really, Japan.

I wanted a better rain scene. But I'll resign myself to Kurosaki looking appropriately Gacktish and gapped out with a sword. Because....I don't even know.
