I love the Tabasco sauce and the crazy dorm 1 crew, oh and the map of all the various clubs or whatever (that's so straight out of manga!) *G* Just from the pics it looks like they did a pretty great job of translating crazy manga world into live action with a lot of the wackiness intact.

I do have serious objection to Nanba though... Sorry, but NOT HOT ENOUGH! Hee. Also, I think there is an overuse of hair product going on with some of these boys. (Hair product overuse is such a serious problem for the youth of today!) But my biggest objection is THE BEDS! NO! GIVE ME REAL BUNKBEDS OR GIVE ME DEATH!

The actor playing Nanba is suffering from the Domyouji curse - because if you look at pictures of him from outside of the drama, he's actually pretty cute and more Nanba looking, with straight long hair. I don't know why they decided to funk it all up, but the acting will have to sex him up.

Hair Product and Japanese Boys are really jdrama's neverending OTP.

Hana Kimi makes me crazy. I took over 350 caps for the first episode . . and I've taken even more during my many, many rewatches.

This show just doesn't get boring. I think it's due in fact to the director's catering to all the fangirls by giving us a multitude of angsting Oguri Shun. (If Shun had had his Sano-hair for HYD, Makino would have been like, 'Domyouji who?'.)

And my excitement for the next episode (even though it's more than five days away right now) is scary. I can't wait to see when Sano finds out (And if he doesn't find out she's a girl before the kiss I'm going to be more than a little mad) and I cannot wait to see a protective, devoted Sano. Heeee!!!

I've rewatched at least five times with the arashi subs and then last night twice with the new subs I found off of d-addicts (apparently this subber is a male) to see if there were any differences, and there were, and it made me appreciate the show even more.

It's just so wacky and sparkly and GLEEFUL and summery and oh I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

In the manga, there's at least 4 kisses between them, so we'll see if each one makes it into the drama.

Four kisses?! I haven't read the whole manga, just bits and pieces, but all I remember is the drunken kiss, and the kisses at the end. What other ones are there?
