nothing can replace a real book

The feel of a book in your hands, the binding against your fingers, the smell of the pages - a book is an experience. Plus you can read it in the bath.

That said, if you can't use a library because you forget to return things on time, and you don't have disposable income to buy an ebook reader, and you'd like to stay on the right side of the law (because you never know who might be watching you)

These websites contain books that have passed into public domain (in the United States, at least - it may be different for other countries) and you know, most of them are classics for a reason.

Anyway, if I can find some hot tea in this house - I seem to have an over abundance of iced tea mixes, I know I'll be curling up with some Agatha Christie tonight.
