Got my copy of Meisa Kuroki's hellcat in the mail today. I'm sure everyone who was interested in the audio/pv aspect of it has already downloaded it from their dealer of choice, so I just bring the album art/booklet scans.
I'll post a review about the album itself at a later date, but until then....
the concept of the album seemed to be EROLUXURIOUSGÖTHBADGIRLSTYLEBEAUTY.
(and for maximum Japanese fashion magazine effect, it has to be said in that way - ONE GO.)
Meisa wrote music for three of the songs on her mini-album debut, all the lyrics were handled by other people. According to her staff blogs, hellcat developed over a year, and there were originally a pool of 30 songs to choose from, and these eight made the cut. And good news, Meisa is shooting a photobook - I don't know if it's a tie-in to one of the plays she's acting in, or if it's a concept pb like Maki did for S (one can hope, yes?), but there is one in the works.
Meisa sez: Buy my album so I and the rest of Sweet Power can continue to ROCK YOUR FACE.
I've been listening to this, the Decemberists' The Hazards of Love (ZOMG, GORGEOUS ALBUM), Epik High's Map the Soul (SO KICKASS.) and a Japanese compilation of Carpenters covers. My tastes are eclectic and wide-spread, you know.
