woah, the last time i wrote was before the pool opened!! yup, i'm no longer bored out of my mind. now i'm to the point where merely surviving becomes a difficult task. Yes!! back to regular Kaiti-routine. I love it! :)
so i'm basically spending all my time at the pool these days, teaching 9 swim lessons a day (about 6-7 hours worth) and doing some lifeguarding too. let me just say, that may seem like a little one digit number (just 9 classes) but it's absolutely nuts. that's like, a potential 90 kids!! so it's more like 70-80, but still, it's nuts. anywho, i want to try and express the fun times i'm having with them all in livejournal, cuz my fam's getting sick of hearing how perfectly adorable Isabella is and how Brayden finally did a front float today, etc etc.
I teach a parent and tot class (where the kids are in the water with their infants/kids) and the two cutest kids in the world are in it, Quinton and Isabella. bella's just a baby, but quinton's about a year old, and they just make me melt. bella likes to drink the water and quinton's got a crush on me. ssooooooo incredibly cute, i wish you knew
a little kid came into the wading pool the other day when i was guarding, and he walked in waving to me and saying "hi, wifegard, hi!! hey, wifeguard, hi!!" and he, too, was quite adorable. he'd be like, "wifeguard, wifeguard, watch me!! cannonbaaaaaaaaall!"
i love my level 3 class. they are all such well-behaved children!! i am so grateful to them for keeping me sane!! raise your kids with manners, whatever you do. PLEASE! for the sake of their swim teachers, if nothing else. :)
we went over safety rules today. the kids were great. when asked to name off some rules, one girl said "no biting". now, who's the jerk that bit her? mama mia!
it was nearly 100 degrees today! crazy!
I've started getting in the pool with the novice swim team that some of the lifeguards coach just to practice a bit and be in the pool cuz the pool is wonderful. they are psycho. they don't use lane lines, and they all just go together, no circle swimming at all! amateurs, i tell ya.
Cameron has the biggest blue eyes and reminds of steven when he was little. such a cutie!
i get frustrated with kids that are scared of the water. and of course i shouldn't!!! i just don't understand. i love the water!
I've been dreaming about lessons and guarding and work. that's good, means i'm working enough. a nice even 40 hours a week.
i've been missing the WAC lately. how dumb!! i miss the daniels dudes, they rocked! and here, i'm not allowed to go over 40 hours a week. it kind of upsets me. blech.
Annie's leaving tomorrow am. i'm sad! i really liked having her home. she's a good sister.
scott and ann might get married civilly in a couple weekends. first person to get married in our family and we won't even get to see it. life's weird sometimes.
