Just A Quick Visit
I haven't posted on Livejournal for nearly 5 years. My visit today is prompted by the need to go through all of my online accounts and create new, unique passwords for every account in the wake of the Heartbleed bug. While Livejournal may not have been vulnerable at any point, my password to this site was shared with another site that was vulnerable for at least two years. My passwords are usually at least 20 to 50 characters long and exceptionally strong, but I never expected to hear that a bug in security encryption software might put many of my online accounts at risk. So, I've spent part of this weekend creating new passwords that don't make sense outside of my head.
Thank you for the birthday wishes while I was gone. I don't know how often I'll be able to visit in the near future, but I'll try to come back and give a more comprehensive update since my last post once I've finished going through the rest of my passwords.
