This past weekend I was in Boston for the Extreme Beer Fest. I wouldn't call myself a major beer drinker -- I only really like the unusual and exotic things. You will never see me drinking a Bud. Anyway, I tried things like S'more stout, a peanut butter and jelly stout, a chocolate raspberry confection, etc. It wasn't all fruity chocolatey things, but those were probably my favorites. I could probably link to some extensive list of what was there, but I don't feel like looking. Anyway, that was pretty fun. This is me trying the S'more stout, into which they tossed a marshmallow. I got some odd looks when I told people about it but it really was good.
That was Saturday, and Sunday was unfortunately a really dreary day, but it was enjoyable spending some time in Boston Common feeding the tame squirrels. This is Tubbo the Squirrel, who was willing to sit next to me on a bench and eat out of my hand.
And this guy was doing ninja tricks.
We took the Acela home that evening, which is such a pleasant ride -- I highly recommend it. I got home in time for the Oscars, which I found to be pretty lame. They were quite self-loving and self-congratulatory this year, no?
Next up, flight to Houston on Thursday night.
Oh... the piles of work just started showing up on my desk. I shall leave you with a clip that made me laugh until there were tears running down my face. Don't make the clickie if you're offended by foul language, and if you're at work, put on your earphones.
