Zed is a total nerd from the world as we know it. Up to 2009, life was normal until the zombie apocalypse happened. This also means, if you are a fictional character, he may, or may not know of you. If you are a mainstream fictional character from popular, or cult shows, it's likely he's at least heard your name.
Luckily, his memory for these things is only so-so, which means he won't be mentioning canon events, but he may know your name, names of people you know, or a place you've been. He's also not very chatty about these sorts of things, so in all likelihood, he wouldn't mention it anyway, but he'll certainly think it.
