Rat has to be reminded that his birthday is coming up, and he's not about to make a big deal about it, even then. Forty-eight is getting a little too close to a number he doesn't want to think about. Fortunately, he's got a lot of other things on his mind, like the construction of the school building that just may be completed as soon as next year, and the community garden that's busier than ever now that fruits and vegetables are coming in like crazy, and the fall scarecrow contest he's getting set up for the end of the month.
He's happy to just spend the day with Harley and April, and have a nice family dinner, and cake.
