'By the way, you ain't funny'

I just want to state that I'm not frightened or upset. I guess I'm quite indignant. I wanted to reply, and realised that's what people like this want.

So, I got my first insulting YouTube comments. Actually, my first ever any category YouTube comments. I don't think it's a particularly great poem, but it was written to be humorous, and hopefully it is. It was the first poem I wrote in six years, so I was out of practice!

What does unnerve me slightly is the completely unnecessary mention of the word 'rape'. Instead of saying I was acting like someone had kidnapped my cat, or keyed my car, he says I was acting like I'd been raped. Really? Would he have said that if the poet was male? Yes, I know that such acts can be carried out by any gender on any gender, but does the commenter know this? It seemed like an easy insult, one you use on girls. And is that how I was acting? Are you perhaps overstating how I was acting, or understating the devastation caused by this act?

To clarify, I really like U2! I just wrote it as a joke.
