Here we go with the usual year in review. I like to look back on the year and celebrate the good and grieve the bad.
So 2011 What did you bring me?
Computer Driving Licence Advanced and Expert Certificate. Yes I aced the course I was on and spent the last couple of months helping teach others which I really enjoyed. So much that I investigated what it would take to become an adult teacher but in the end decided I could not really guarantee enough work to make the outlay needed a good investment.
I moved to Cambridge. I love my flat. Despite being a little anxious about living totally alone for the first time in my life I really love it.
The job situation has not been so good. However this has been the springboard to investigating self employment opportunities again and all being well some time in February or soon after I will strike out on my own again.
I met a new man, a lovely caring, gentle, dominant, sadistic man. However it turns out he is monogamous and I am most definately polyamorous, so the acceptance has been made by both that we will not develop this into a partner relationship. However he is making a damn fine friend and a really interesting occasional play partner.
My youngest daughter graduated and despite her health problems is moving forwards with her plans to become a teacher.
I have been back to visit my kids a couple of times since moving and it was great to see them. Also lovely to see how my relationship with my grandson has changed such that he now no longer cries whenever he sees me and often asks to phone me. Not that I can always understand what he is saying down the phone but he's only 2 yet, that will change.
The spinal block got rid of the pain from the damaged sciatic nerve, though I will always have the weakness and lack of sensation in that leg. The univrse thought it funny to replace one health problem with another and an old back condition has returned I am at the moment having hydrotherapy to see if that helps.
The vitamin D treatment really helped with the chronic pain I am hoping that I will have low D levels when I have them tested again within the next month as the chronic pain is back and it would be good if vitamin D was the answer to this one.
I have done a lot of sewing this year, the most impressive being the long velvet cloak with sleeves made to replace my old dying cloak.
Once again Mr Cambridge and I went to Denmark and had an amazing time.
My relationship with Mr Cambridge goes from strength to strength.
I joined a choral society, I love it. Despite what people have been telling me all of my life I can sing and I love doing so.
I bought/hired a clarinet now to try and learn to play it.
I am happy it has been a good year.
