Goodbye Leiceste,r Hello Cambridge

Well the move went well. One week later I have everything unpacked and sorted. Just a couple of new seat covers to sew then I will finally stop changing things :)

All my paperwok is sorted and I have changed everything with the utilities companies and my internet is now up and working.

I have enjoyed my time in Leicester but it was time to move on. I've been threatening to move to Cambridge since I was 17 years old, finally at 50 I've managed it.

Only 33 years in the waiting this move. Already I am getting out and about more on my trusty steed (ok, my bicycle for the more prosaic) and despite the fact that this is the first time I have ever lived totally on my own (before even when there was no partner there was at least one of my kids at any time) I am much to my surprise not feeling lonely.

Oh I'll be making reasonably frequent visits to Leicester after all most of my children and my grandson live in the vacinity. Sorry Leicester but you don't quite get rid of me totally :)

I am however feeling positive about my new home. Positive about building a new social life in this city and positive about the prospect of finding a new job reasonably quickly.

The last few weeks my hatred of change (even when chosen by me) has risen it's ugly head and in the run up to the move my clinical anxiety has been kicking me in the butt. But now move over it has melted away and I am looking forward to seeing just what the future brings.

Wish me luck, though I'm not planning to need it. :)
