Well here goes nothing..
Yes, I did it. I am now officially a blogger. Aren't you all proud of me? You probably are because if you're reading this, you're most likely as big of a dork as I am. Oh well, c'est la vie.
So right now I'm sitting at work, completely procrastinating and not wanting to do any kind of actual work. Helps that I don't really have all that much to do, and that my boss is out of the office.
I’m growing increasingly unhappy in my job. I really want to try and make it work, but I just don’t think it’s going to be possible. Everyone is always coming to me and complaining, so even if I am having a good day when I get there, by the end of my shift I’m usually in an icky mood because I’ve had to listen to people bitch for the last 6 hours. The work is boring, and I find myself slacking off intentionally, which is never ever a good thing.
A silver lining though, about a month ago I started working part time down at the local nurses union office (thanks mom) after I got out of my day job. It looks like they’re going to be firing their current admin assistant and I’ve been offered the opportunity to apply and interview for the position. This is good for several reasons.
1. It’s a national organization, so if I wanted to transfer I could. (Yay being able to move if I want to..)
2. Full time. Benefits. Need I say more?
3. I already know the people down there, so there wouldn’t be a huge weird phase while I transfer into the position and get comfortable with people.
4. The building has windows. Now that one might seem funny to a lot of people, but right now I work in what is basically a refrigerator cell. Freezing cold and no outside light at all. In fact, there are no windows in the entire building...
I dunno, I haven’t heard anything for sure yet, but I’m crossing my fingers for that.
Other than job stuff, things have been going ok. Just kinda coasting along right now.
