Heli Doctors again

Jul 24, 2008 00:08

I never thought I would see the day where Erika Toda would be acting circles around someone... but Code Blue has given me this day.

  • Holy crap. I liked the episode, but seriously - has Yamapi always been this bad? He's so stiff it's laughable. I cringed during the scene where he noticed the nail marks on the brain tumour patient's palm - what? That was SO BAD. *boggles* Fortunately, he did OK in the surgery scene - I especially liked it when Hiyama helped him put on the scrubs because it gave me a second of shippy glee (I still secretly desire for Akira/Mariko :P).

  • There was even some delightful surgery eye!porn between these two:

  • I LOVE the nurse. There is no one she won't give a verbal smackdown to, if they need to be pwnd she will pwn them good. Patients, doctors, no one is an exception. Hers is the fist voice of justice! If you don't like the air conditioning you can GTFO.

I think she wants a piece of that:

  • Dr. Dorky was more entertaining than usual this week with his butt-poking masses of adoring child fans and the chest-stabby stalker patient.

  • And, yes: the baton of Heli Doctoring is passed on yet again! Aragaki Yui is the winner this week because she found the hemorrhage first!

***This show is a bit like the Japanese equivalent of Grey's Anatomy. Which is probably why it will never be as awesome as Iryu Team Medical Dragon (which is like House, because obviously Asada = House = Hot Rebel!Doctors vs The System).
