"What's happening, Doctor?"

"Ah... we appear to have landed in some sort of prison cell," said the Doctor. "I can't place the exact date, but somewhere in the future of your time."

"Not 1930, then," said Charley, sighing. "C'rizz, are you alright?"

"I am," said C'rizz warily, "But I don't think he is."

"What?"

The Doctor went pale.

"Oh my god," said Charley. "Did we -?"

"Did we land on that poor man? No, thankfully," replied the Doctor, crouching by the limp body anxiously. He felt for a pulse.

"Is he... dead?"

"Fortunately not. He must have been standing in the exact spot the TARDIS materialized in, and the forcefield knocked him out."

"Is he going to be alright?"

"I think so," said the Doctor, sighing, "Maybe a concussion, a bruise on the back of his head, but there shouldn't be a worse problem than that."

"Hey! Who are you? What's going on?" Footsteps sounded, rapidly approaching their cell.

"Uh oh," said C'rizz.

Charley tugged at the Doctor's sleeve. "Doctor, someone's coming!"

"This poor soul's imprisoner, I'd say," said the Doctor, "And judging from his uniform, someone of rank."

C'rizz observed, "His jacket doesn't fit right."

"It doesn't need to," said Charley keenly, forgetting temporarily their situation.

"Oh my gods," breathed the young man, coming into full view. "You killed Tom Zarek."
