"We're so cute we make kittens throw up"
This is the only picture we have of the two of us so far. I hate how I look, but it captures Derek pretty well.
I don't actually think we're that cute but Derek does and it's fun to say. It's been just over a month now (how convenient is it that our first date was on the first of the month? So easy for keeping track) and we're still in the early gushy phase. I was a little worried that I've gotten so far behind on things I need to do like sleeping, laundry, and cleaning my bathroom, but everyone thinks it's normal to be preoccupied with each other for a while longer. I've decided that since I'll never get the early days back I should enjoy them as much as possible and not worry about the other things I can deal with later.
I'm also happy because I had a lovely lunch with elspethsheir and it was great to see her looking cheerful. I hope that now that summer's arriving I'll be spending more time with my friends again. As wonderful as Derek is, it's nice to see other people too because otherwise I miss them.
