Five on Friday, Apr. 16
Haven't been doing this for quite a while, felt like starting it up again. For those who don't know, I like to participate in this thing, where you post on Friday five things you love and/or appreciate in your life. It's good for the heart and soul. :)
1. My daughter is so cute! The other night we took the kids to Dairy Queen after dinner. Before we even walked in the door, Jasmine told us she was so excited! Then we walked in, with posters and displays of ice cream treats and cakes everywhere, and she exclaimed, "Oh, it so beautiful in here!" :)
2. My son is so sweet. Recently he's taken to kissing people on the cheek. He especially does this to me whenever I am angry or upset, or say "no," no matter who I'm saying it to. hehe. He's also been playing with Jasmine more. The other night they were playing on the trampoline, and he was really trying to make her smile and laugh! So cute.
3. My hubby is so cool. He is still not smoking!!! Also, we've been going to different stores for groceries, and one of the local ones carries tons of imported international foods. Michael picked out some different curry mixes, and has been excited about trying them. He was also a trooper, taking the kids out by turns in the canoe last weekend, when it was too tippy and scary for me to get back into it. It's been a long time since I've been in a canoe, and I'm willing to try it again, next time we take it out, I just wasn't up to it that day. And today, not only did he take Jasmine fishing this morning, right after working his graveyard shift, he also jumped in the water to rescue her pink princess fishing pole! Super Daddy, indeed. :)
4. I didn't do so well this last week on keeping up with my walking. But the good thing is that tomorrow is another day, and I can just try again to go at least every other day, like I planned. And even some activity is better than none for me, or at least an improvement.
5. Jasmine pooped in the potty today!!!! And it was her that initiated it!!!! This is such a big step for her, she is improving all the time. I'm taking her to lunch and girly fun shopping after library playgroup. This is shaping up to be an awesome day for her! hehe. :)
