I had a calc test today, and thankfully I thought it was really easy. Hopefully my assertion proves to be correct...
However, last Friday I was supposed to go to a make-up class from my engineering solutions class, which I missed because I added it a week after the semester started. However, in my idiotic absent-mindedness I completely forgot. So I freaked out a little bit, because the woman in charge of the class (Dr. Zirnheld) is also my mentor, and also the head of my department...great way to build my reputation, eh? Luckily, my grade will not be affected. I just had to pick up a homework assignment that was handed out in the class, and then have to go to the second make-up session this Friday. Turns out I missed learning how to solve problems such as: simplify (z-2)(z-7). Damn. (sarcasm)
And I'm also going to be working on a project having to do with AC vs. DC current and solar and wind power generation on the side. Thus I really need to read up on it. Hopefully it will go well. I also have opportunity to get research credit working for Dr. Zirnheld along with fellow members of Engineers for a Sustainable World running experiments with bio-diesel. If so that would be great, getting experience in my first year and leading to figuring out more and more what I want to do with my life.
That and the fun keeps on rolling.
Goal for the week: get to bed by midnight. At least twice.
