Pure Awesomeness

Last night was the Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd, and Red concert at RIT.  As stated in the subject of this entry, it was pure awesomeness.

When we got there, we saw that a big line had already formed, and so we were disappointed, thinking that we wouldn't be able to stand in the front.  Thanks to a bit of subtle manuevering however, we were able to get me, then Jackie, then Diana, and then Chris right up against the bar, four feet from the stage, slighty to the right of center.  A completely awesome spot, and I would have been able to get amazing pictures if I had brought my camera, but in the end it was a good thing I didn't or else it would probably be smashed to bits at the moment.  It was an extremely physcial concert, as the crowd was very rough and very forceful and everyone was trying to push through to get a spot on the bar.  At some points we were being completely smashed against the bar, and I began to wonder if my ribs would make it out unbroken.  Add on being pushed into strange contorted positions and people elbowing us all and Mick and Chris getting hit in the face by body-surfers.  Whenever the body surfers came up (there were some points when the flow of body surfers seemed non-stop) I'd get a security gaurd's crotch in my face as he stood on the edge of the other side of the bar to pull the kid down.  So I just ducked and covered.  So really, it was quite painful, but completely worth it.

Red - we couldn't hear the singer's mic, but the one guitarist was pretty awesome so I watched him most of the time, however I somehow managed to miss him swinging the guitar around his neck, twice :(

Puddle of Mudd - Maleeha exposed me to them back in eigth grade, and they were awesome live.  Luckily, they played a lot of their old songs that I actually know and still remember most of the words too.  During Drift and Die I was singing along and the vocalist (Wes) made eye contact with me for like ten seconds *squee*  It was awesome, and my listening to Puddle of Mudd has been renewed. (keep an eye out on music post!)

Breaking Benjamin - So good, played many of my favorite songs - Evil Angel, Dance With the Devil, Breakdown.  Just so, so good.  And Ben, the lead vocalist/guitarist, he had the most awesome facial expression.  He furrows his eyebrows so that he looks really angry and evil, and it fit the likes of Evil Angel and Dance With the Devil so perfectly.  Another awesome live band.

Three Days Grace - First off, I'd like to say that I love the lead vocalist's tattoos.  The music itself was also really really good, and they played awesome songs, ending of course with the good 'ol "I hate everything about you!"  The crowd was going crazy.  Even cooler, I somehow caught the bassist's pick when he threw it into the crowd at the end ^_^

As soon as it ended I wanted to go to another one.  It was so much fun, screaming and singing and fist pumping until my arm started to hurt and trying to hold my position in the crazy mob of other screaming, singing, and fist pumping fans.

I can't wait 'til my next concert.  Especially Projekt Revolution, I've been waiting four long years to see Linkin Park live dammit ^_^
