A new bundle of joy
I woke up this morning, came downstairs, ate a pumpkin walnut scone I found sitting on the kitchen table. Which resulted in my forgetting to eat an actually well-rounded meal until dinner. My mother showed me a circuit city ad with laptops. She says she's been watching the prices in the ads and that these are pretty low, as a lot of the laptops are going on sale because of Vista coming out and all. As of now, I only have $200, but she says she'll spot the rest for me, I'll just give her all of my paychecks until it's paid off.
And so here is what I plan on buying in a few days:
It's a toshiba, 15" monitor, 6lbs. Wayne tells me I won't want to carry it around, but I had trouble finding any smaller computers that weren't more expensive or had the same amount of ram and HD space. And it probably weighs as much as half of my kitty, so it isn't really that bad. This guy has 2.0GB ram, upgradable to 4, (one of the highest i found in laptops where I looked) and 180 GB HD. In a couple days it's going to be on sale for $1049.99. It's frontside bus is 533 MHz, which Wayne says is low, but I had trouble finding any higher in laptops, and if I did it was only by 100 and then the computer had half as much ram.
So, is this a good deal? (specs)
