For those of you that DON'T follow politics (for shame!) John Kerry, whilst speaking to students in support of a candidate, said (paraphrased) that if you don't get a good education you'll be stuck in Iraq. It later came out that what he meant to say was "you end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq" which is a little bit clearer but not much, and was aimed at Pres. Bush. He dropped "us", which completely changed the meaning of the sentence.. and they say Bush is a dumbass. LOL.
I still can't believe he made such a stupid error. Jokes like that shouldn't even be attempted, because this is precisely the sort of thing that can go wrong. The political backlash may well make the Dems lose now, we'll see. If they do lose they aren't going to be happy with him at all. In point of fact, they aren't happy with him right now either. Apparently a Dem being interviewed by ABC said something like, "I guess John Kerry isn't content with blowing the last election, he wants to blow this one too."
Also, something else I found amusing was that some soldiers heard about his remarks in Iraq (read: absentee ballots from soldiers are all gonna be Republican now!) and made up a hilarious banner..
Classic.
