BAND OR GROUP: Okay, in an insomniac moment the other night, i was thinking that one thing i'm a total snob on is the question of a favorite band. how do I mean? I believe that a FAVORITE bands shouldn't be a band with less than...2...albums...unless they're musical geniuses that died or something. and i think a FAVORITE band should reflect the majority, or at least some of one's other music. it shouldn't be some obscure group that no one has ever heard of and came out with 1 album in Norway or something. I know that's not entirely fair, and feel free to challenge this, because i don't fully agree with myself, but I don't think someone can say that their favorite band, for example, is like...well, okay, here's an example: I really really like Flogging Moll. I wouldn't say they are my FAVORITE band ever. look at their influences: I'd say obviously the Pogues, they have some Clash, and a good deal of others. One could definitelty have a favorite band of the Clash, and no one could argue. Same with the Pogues. Heavily influential bands when it comes to music these days. and that is my rant.
to answer the question, I'd say the Chili Peppers, U2, the Cure, the Clash, like, Dylan, the stones or the beatles or somehting. . I'd probably change my mind tomorrow though.
