Brandon & Georgia Brito August 11th 2007
The day has come and gone, and will forever be engraved into my memory as one of the most genuine, pure, and romantic things i have and will ever witness, i feel so honored to have been able to be a part of it.
THURSDAY:
i flew in by myself thursday, the flight was ridic, completely full so since i was "C" i got sandwhiched between two old men ... nice.
Georgia picked me up from the airport and we went to her and brandons condo, ADORABLE. I loved it, its one of those three level deals with living room then kitchen then bedrooms on different levels and she had it decorated so nicely. Georgia went to get a body wrap so i stayed at the house, Brandon and Daniel came by for a bit and it was really nice to see them. Georgia came back and lost 20 inches they said and she told me that she needed to because her dress DOESNT FIT! i was like wtf are you gonna do come saturday woman! ha she didnt seem to worried though, actually for someone who was getting married in two days she was extremely calm, i was more nervous than her! We went and ran some errands, stopped by Georgias parents house and all her family was there, went out to dinner, then went back to her house to watch a DVD of friends (wedding episodes obvi) and do her hair extensions. I slept amazing, their bed is the most comfortable thing of my life.
FRIDAY:
we got up early (8:30 mofo) and two of the other bridesmaids plus a friend met us at the condo so we could all leave and get manicures and pedicures. Dominique was the maid of honor, i loved her, she was so funny, had the greatest sense of humor, then there was Shebeenie, who just got married 6 months ago, then Tiffany, holy shit she was a character, she was the reader at the wedding, she read a passage from Corinthians, shes actually a teacher at a high school and it made me laugh because she teaches seniors so i totally could have been one of her students last year, its weird knowing that side of teachers.
we brought champaigne to the nail salon and everyone got kind of hammered and some RANDOM secrets came out of everyones mouth, so funny, on the way back to the condo we were blasting sexy songs by boys to men and georgia started humping the chair, i about died.
next we all went to the hotel to check in, even though we couldnt because they wouldnt let us do an early check it but they let tiffany so we hung out in her room then all went to the salon to get ready for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. All the boys met us at the salon and it was really nice getting to see adam and david and auntie cindy and auntie debbie. From there we went to the church to practice the ceremony with this crazy lady named Klara, let me just tell you, traditional weddings at the Catholic church are serious business. From the rehearsal we went to the dinner and Rancho La Lena, they rented out the entire patio area from 6-12 for all the family. All the bridal party was hanging out at a few tables in the corner drinking, (sup free margaritas) so that was fun, they're a pretty crazy bunch and i got to hear about a lot of scandelous drama ha
so this was the night Dad and Gaius were supposed to fly in and make it to the tail end of the dinner, they call and are having credit card trouble with the rental car, im like great i knew everything was going too smoothly to be true, so lets skip all the drama, they ended up hvaing to be picked up by Stephanie, cancelling our reservations at the hotel and they slept at stephs while i slept in Georgias room that night.
So once the dinner was over and everyone was nice and drunk we headed back to the hotel, all the bridesmaids hung out in georgias suite, Dominique was hilar. everyong got a little crazy and lets just say i saw some nipz that night. eek!
me and georgia slept in one bed and shaabini and dominique in another, before we slept me and georgia were talking about the wedding and i was like wow its really gonna happen, i was beyond excited.
WEDDING DAY:
we woke up at, like 8 i believe, we had to be at the salon by 930 so we all just met at the room and went in our PJ's. Gina did everyones hair, i had an updo and it was cute and i loved it. Auntie Debbie and Auntie Cindy showed up and Amy came wiht her big fat makeup kit and did everyone celeb style. It was yet another bonding experience us all getting ready, i loved it, it was picture perfect everyone was so happy. At noon we headed back to the suite and the photographers showed up, all the girls put their dresses on, as did Georgia, and ... IT FIT! yesss, she was a vision, so beautiful. The photographers were these two ladies, they were so funny, they were taking pictures of EVERYTHING i felt like americas next top model, and its like you dont know whether to act like its candid or smile at the camera or what. We were running late, but once the limo finally came we all got in (as 'glamorous' started on the radio haha perfect) and were on our way with beers in hand (flossy flossy...not) we got out in front of the church and i FINALLY got to see dad steph gaius and greg! i said hi real quick and took a few pictures then we went inside to get ready for the Ceremony to start. The grandparents and parents walked first then me and Tom were the first of the bridal party, we walked down and i couldnt stop smiling ha. once we were all in the Georgia and Mr. Swesey walked down i started tearing up, i couldnt believe it i didnt think it would cry but it was perfect, the music, the walking, Brandon waiting, everything it was just too much i loved it.
The Ceremony was very......Traditional...and long...once it was done it was insane, time to party. The ENTIRE bridal party hopped in the limo, the boys had put a big cooler full of beer before hand and we went to Balboa park for pictures. While walking around with Georgia EVERYONE was staring it was so funny the pictures are going to be AMAZING but taking them was not so glamorous, it was really hot and we were really sweaty and we did this picture where we had to be holding hands running it circles and i was like ouch helloooo we are in HEELS!
Once we were done we got back into the party limo and headed to the reception, we had to wait around for the DJ's to get our names to make our GRAAAAND ENTRAAAANCE. Me and Tom were first (again) it was nice having all eyes on me for a sec, geeze imagine how Georgia felt haha she was in heaven. We got in and just started eating and everyone was mingling and saying hi and all that. Adam came over drunk and was crazy and so obnoxious i was like fool how are you gonna make your best man toast! hahaha then they called everyone for the toasts. Adam went first and his was amazing, a little silly, but he talked about their grandma and i think everyone got teary eyed. Then Dominique, hers was a tear jerker it was so sweet, they've known eachother since they were five. Then oh man the tears were flowin when Georgia and Mr Swesey did the father daughter dance, it was perfect, the music and the setting and everything, JUST like the movies, then Brandon and Auntie Cindy joined, then Georgias mom and Uncle John and Adam and his Avu, it was really special. After that they said everyone could come dance and Steph and Greg did then me and my dad danced, after that i went to the bathroom and had like a mini emotional breakdown haha
so since we had a realy early flight the next morning and still wanted to go see and hang with steph and greg and their house we started saying our goodbyes, it was really nice, im so glad we were all there, together, i thanked Georgia for everything, shes been amazing and so sweet throughout all of this and i said bye to brandon and the rest of the family then we went back to stephanies house and hung out until bed.
