Teen Wolf Fandom
So the fandom of Teen Wolf is just as crazy as the show. And when I mean fandom...I mean fans. There's like a division. A bunch of them want Sterek (Stiles/Derek) to be become canon, like more than any other fandom and its fanon slash wants. And Jeff Davis is a tease and once said he might be convinced to make it so. Clearly the man had no idea what he was doing when he said that.
So now the fandom is cray cray. Just...wow. Really? I mean I've only been into Teen Wolf for what? Two months? And I like Sterek, I've already written it and my fic Cosmic Tree has been well received (dances). But I really don't care if it becomes canon or not. Mostly because I'm used to disappointment. I mean seriously. I like the couple...but if we're talking about my fave live action slash pairings its #5 in my top 5.

#4 Horatio/Ryan (CSI Miami...they don't even have a ship name)
#3 Tommy/Merton (Big Wolf on Campus)
#2 McGibbs (Gibbs/McGee from NCIS)
#1 Spander (Spike/Xander from Buffy)
Yep, that's my lineup. Now if I'm honest, Hieibara (Hiei/Kuwabara from YuYu Hakusho) is pretty much tied for first place with Spander. However I've gotten so much flack for that couple that I simply don't talk about it. I write my fics and go on. I don't discuss it. Ever.
And all the other pairings I like will never be canon. This is a fact of my life. I sigh, and I go on. Its nice that the actors who play Stiles and Derek will pose and hold hands for their fans. They know their fans like Sterek and have even cuddled for them. That's awesome, and you can bet your ass I have pics of that stashed away on my hard drive. But it becoming canon? *shrugs* Not that important to me.
I just think Jeff Davis is an ass for being a tease and giving fans hope of Sterek becoming canon. Because really, people are assholes and will attack each other in an OTP civil war. I just want to slip under the radar, write my fics and not get attacked for my OTPs like I have in the past (Hieibara...I actually named the ship). And in all reality, I ship my #1 OT3 (Spike/Xander/Cordelia) harder than Sterek.
