Oh Katie this one is for you!
Since someone made me aware that i really haven't had a true update.. then i shall do so.
I have adjusted somewhat to life as a single woman... being that i'm home it really doesnt seem any different. When i lived in California i was single.. so i never had places here that remind me of Luke and us as a couple.
It will hit me once i return to Michigan, being that the entire time i have lived in Michigan and attended CMU thats who i have been with.
But it shall be a new adventure. and i'm excited. I'm excited for wild times with my girls.
I spent the day shopping with my mom.. going to almost every store you can imagine in Ventura and the decent parts of Oxnard. SHE FINANLLY FOUND A PAIR OF BORN SANDALS THAT SHE LIKES! yay! the summer long search is over.. and she got them on sale. My mom bought me a new book for the flight, as tempting as it was to get the new Lauren Weisberger Novel (the writer from "Devil Wears Prada") i picked up a novel entitled: The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards
I also purchased my first cookbook!!!! It's about time... It's Betty Crocker's Basic Cookbook for Beginning cookers or something like that... it comes complete with step by step pictures and nifty tips and everything seems simple enough for me. Maybe then i won't have to rely on Sloppy Joe's.
My next two days are filled with spending time with loved ones. Tomorrow i'm taking two girls i used to babysit to the beach, Dustin is going to possibly join me. After i take the girls home we are going to join some friends for a Shades of Day Concert in Ventura. (one last time to see them before their concert in Cinncinati.. yes an Ojai band is playing in Ohio!!!!)
Then on Monday Breanne has taken the day off from work and we plan on just soakin' in the sun the entire day. I'm way excited. We'll possibly enjoy some coronas as well... "Soak and Swerve" as we like to call it.
And then Tuesday is the big travel day back. Heather Tanner will be picking me up from the airport, and then whisking me off to the new IKEA store in Canton. I'm gonna buy my basics.. pots n pans, dishes, stuff for my bathroom.. what not...
still waiting on furniture...
IF ANYONE HAS ANY LIVING ROOM FURNITURE THAT THEY CAN SPARE FOR A YEAR IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
we avoiding at all costs to use the frat couch.. its very stinky... even with a cover on it...
i want something that i don't know any "stories" involving it. if ya know what i mean.
Wednesday we are packing up early so that i can work at OLD NAVY in the morning... just a short shift to keep my job.. and then we will head up to Alpena. My parents fly in on Wednesday and should be up there by the time we arrive... then it will be the chaos weekend known as the "MOUSSEAU FAMILY REUNION"...
after that.. monday the 7th i move into mine and sarah's beautiful Copper Beech Townhome.... (WITH NO FURNITURE-OTHER THAN MY BED AND TV) yet i will be alone until it gets closer to the semester...
so thats the chaos of my life for the next week. But its fun.
