Flash flood warnings, bus routes canceled, roads closed, & yeah, me walking to work..
Haven't tried the bento place yet but they're also not open on weekends...have plans to do Walmart Tues before my mid shift at the gym so will have to shoot for next week. Today's rain walks at least were just drizzly rain vs yesterday's downpour of crossing streams at crosswalk entrances AND exits at the 3 blocks I had to go from my freebee musubi ( not HOT, SackNSave!) to the gym, ....have been wearing my hoodie and sweats outside now... definitely having some chicken saimin tomorrow night after my pizza shift....got 2 extra days added to my pizza shifts so yeah, no days off this week...
Crazy walking around w/all this heavy pouring rain ( streaming water on sidewalks, crosswalk entrances, grass area puddles, shoulders of road covered with few inches of water, etc)...the only bus running was the intown bus ( Hilo) so yeah, bus to Waikoloa, bus to Kona, Kona to Hilo, Hilo to Pahoa, Hilo to Fern Acres, HPP, Eden Roc, all canceled for last weekend....lotta ppl called off at the hotels here, Kona and in Waikoloa I bet .
Hoping to watch some Hulu UFO show documentaries soon:).....
2/22/2023: 9:00 PM: cooked up another bowl of chicken saimin tonight...yeah, REALLY like that Ichiban brand of it so good thing I bought a whole case hehe.... today's shift at work was rough, lotta back and forth, getting pulled off my original task to do other stuff, then asked by Managers have I finished my original task yet, I say no and tell them why....Might do dinner at my Aunt's on Friday for my Nana's bday celebration, depends on the time & all that...I work for the pizza place the next day at 11 AM....I have tried rolling a towel and sleeping w/it right below my pillow as I want to try to have something to lay my head on...last night was the first night & only woke up once vs two as of late..
Going to inquire about a daytime janitor/full time position available soon at the new gym when I get to work tomorrow....treating myself to a KS stop in the morning for a good local lunch later w/my Govt funds card....Kona Low left but today was still wet, rainy and cloudy...and the ponding is still around...
Love my dessert of 2 Lindt truffles:)... that's 1 way to make the $12 truffle bag last at least 2 weeks....
Did my restorative yoga last week and should get in one this week too....
